Each paper/poster must have at least 1 dedicated registration by Aug 19, 2016, otherwise it
will not be included in the conference program and proceedings.

A student cannot register at the student rate if she/he is the only author who registers for an accepted paper.

If an author is an ACM/SIGBio member or ACM/SIGBio student member, he/she will get a discount, as specified in the following table.

Extra page charges: $100 per page (up to 2 pages).

Cancellation requests received on or before Aug 20, 2016 are fully refundable less a processing fee of 10% of the amount paid. There will be no refunds after Aug 20, 2016. All cancellation requests must be in writing via email to pghosh@vcu.edu.

These rates are European plan (no meals included) rates. Room rates quoted above are non-commissionable, net rates, subject to tax, which is currently 15.6%, and/or state or local mandated tax, which is currently $2.00 per night.
Access Fee
In addition to the rates set forth above, there will be a daily Access Fee of $6.95 (discounted from $12.95) per room, per night, plus tax for the ACM attendees which will provide following items:

Student Hotel Roommate Finder Spreadsheet
Students may find a roommate for the conference through the Student Hotel
Roommate Finder Spreadsheet for ACM-BCB 2016. Finding a roommate is to help
your finances only. It is not required. We cannot recommend to you and do not
take responsibility for who you share the room with. If you received an ACM-BCB 2016 NSF Travel Grant and share a room, please get a split receipt so that you can be reimbursed for your half of the room.
Travel Grant
The conference will support travel grants for US-based students. The
applicants should submit the following 3 files in 1 batch to Profs. Wang and
Zola (acmbcb2016.travel@gmail.com) by August 12th, 2016 with the following email subject line:
ACM-BCB'2016 NSF Travel Award Application from Applicant_FirstName_LastName at InstituteName
- A statement letter from the student or young professional, which includes:
- A brief summary of research interests and accomplishments to date; students should demonstrate a serious interest in bioinformatics, through their coursework and projects.
- A description of areas reflected in the ACM-BCB 2016 program that would impact the student's research.
- A statement about why the conference attendance is important to the student.
- A supporting letter from the student's supervisor/advisor, which includes:
- Confirmation that the student is in good academic standing.
- The suitability on the ACM-BCB 2016 program material to the student's research area.
- Ways this particular student would benefit from attendance at the conference.
- A paper/poster title(s) accepted to ACM-BCB 2016.
- The applicants need to submit their camera ready paper(s) before the travel
grant submission to be qualified for award review. (Poster and
workshop authors: This requires camera ready papers to be submitted
early - the travel grant deadline precedes the camera ready deadline)
