Call for Demos and Exhibits

The 8th ACM Conference on Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, and Health Informatics (ACM BCB) is the flagship conference of the ACM SIGBio. ACM-BCB 2017 is the conference's eigth year, building upon the success of the first seven meetings in Niagara Falls, Chicago, Orlando, Washington DC, Newport Beach, Atlanta, and Seattle. ACM-BCB 2017 will be held in Boston, MA, August 20-23, 2017.

ACM-BCB is now inviting interested groups to submit applications for demonstrations and exhibits at ACM-BCB 2017.

ACM-BCB 2017 Demonstrations and Exhibits are intended to provide a platform for dissemination of information about established data-portals, knowledge-bases, web-services, and web-based tools of broad interest to the bioinformatics, computational biology, and biomedicine research community. Data-portals for major funding initiatives and large-scale experimental data repositories are of particular interest.

Interested groups can arrange space for booths or poster boards for the duration of the conference. A session on demonstrations and exhibits is also planned, consisting of a small number of short (10-15min) presentations, plus an opportunity for one-on-one demonstrations. Poster easel boards will be provided by the conference upon request. All booth space must be arranged separately (please send an email to with the subject line "Booth"). All presenters and demonstrators are expected to register for the conference.

Proposals can be submitted to at any time until To be announced. Proposals should provide a title and short abstract for the demo/exhibit and indicate the desired presentation options: a) booth, b) poster board, c) short presentation, and/or d) one-on-one demos.
